Fouta/hamam towel  made from 100 % Turkish cotton.   Handwoven in Turkey using traditional weaving looms.  The cotton used for the towels is coloured with an old technique using leaves and roots from plants.  By purchasing a hamam towel, you are contributing to the maintenance of a weaving culture which has existed in Turkey for centuries.
 
A hamam towel is thin and space saving but has a very high absorbency and is also fast drying making it perfect for the beach.  Highly versatile though, it can equally be used as a wrap/sarong, sun lounge cover, gym- travel- or spa towel, picnic blanket and much more.
